President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. affirmed the government's commitment to strengthening the energy sector to guarantee reliable and affordable electricity supply nationwide. He made this statement during a turnover ceremony of the Caliraya-Botocan-Kalayaan Hydroelectric Power Plants in Kalayaan, Laguna.

According to the President, these CBK facilities play a crucial role in balancing electricity supply and demand by storing water using surplus power during off-peak hours and generating electricity when demand peaks.

Schools and educational institutions across the country are being urged to declare February 25 as an academic holiday to commemorate the EDSA People Power Revolution.
